Breakfast Shenanigans

There they were, sitting side by side at the teacher's table, overlooking all the students that they were going to spend the next year teaching. Alison was happy with Slytherin's additions, sure she could see some great potential in some of them. Maybe she would pay the common room a visit later that they, so she could encourage her House to do well in the House Cup. Maybe this is year it would actually work, though she doubted it. Slytherin's weren't always the best at following the rules, which often led to them discovering and learning things about themselves, but didn't quite help in earning points for their house. Not to fret; as long as they all kept developing themselves, she was sure they would be leaving Hogwarts as their own best version.

"Do you want another pancake, darling?" she asked her wife, who was sitting next to her. Her wife. When they met, at this very school, neither one of them ever imagined they would come back married, but apparently life sometimes is that crazy. "Have you had a chance to think about who you want for Quidditch yet?" Her wife was the one who taught flying, but she also coached the kids for the popular sport they played at Hogwarts. Each year, the spots of the students who had graduated became empty, so they had to be filled with new athletes, a task that could be more difficult than one would think.
