Brief description— As an outgoing and spontaneous man Zahorchak generally ensures his existence is known wherever he may be. This, however, does not guarantee everyone relishing his presence considering his rather blunt and impulsive nature—which is not always appreciated by everyone. In spite of bluntness, which is not always interpreted as friendly, his intentions are generally of a friendly nature. As a professor the man is rather lenient, although he does not tolerate any behavior which could provoke potential dangers. Furthermore, Zahorchak loves life and does not refrain from having a glass of butterbeer every now and then.

Blackthorn— Blackthorn, which is a very unusual wand wood, has the reputation, in my view well-merited, of being best suited to a warrior. This does not necessarily mean that its owner practises the Dark Arts (although it is undeniable that those who do so will enjoy the blackthorn wand’s prodigious power); one finds blackthorn wands among the Aurors as well as among the denizens of Azkaban. It is a curious feature of the blackthorn bush, which sports wicked thorns, that it produces its sweetest berries after the hardest frosts, and the wands made from this wood appear to need to pass through danger or hardship with their owners to become truly bonded. Given this condition, the blackthorn wand will become as loyal and faithful a servant as one could wish.

Dragon heartstring— As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner.

The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. It is also the most prone of the three cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental.



H I S T O R Y
Zahorchak was born a half-blood to a pure-blood mother and a muggle father. Despite not possessing the pure blood of a wizard, it had never stopped him from accomplishing what he genuinely wanted to achieve—thus defying the poor expectations some pure-bloods had of him, stereotypically. This did not mean that he received outstanding grades on every single subject, solely the subjects that genuinely poked his interests. In fact, Zahorchak even had to redo his sixth year due failing several classes—mainly caused by a lack of attendance whilst being hungover. Despite some looking down on his roots, he has not had a lousy childhood. The boy had a vast number of friends, both inside and outside of Slytherin, with whom he laughed and partied frequently.
   After Zahorchak graduated from Hogwarts he initially did not know what exactly he wanted to do with his life, which resulted in unemployment for several years. After a few consecutive years of partying non-stop and occasionally a silly job here and there, he came to the realization that neither himself physically as his account balance could handle such an  intensive life for much longer. After having spent some time contemplating, he ultimately decided on applying for a job as a transfiguration professor at Hogwarts, where he has been teaching ever since.
