Dear random reciever,

I told my owl to send this letter to a random person or give it to a random owl to deliver it. It seems like you are the random reciever this small letter ended up with. I hope this does not bother you and if it does be free to ignore this. After all it is only an attempt to amuse myself during this stormy weather.
I wonder whether I know you or have only seen you once before. You may give me a hint about who you are but you may also choose to keep it as much of a mistery as I am. The choice is yours to make.
I wonder though, has anything interesting happend to you during this storm. I found myself to be bored enough to write this after all. Not much seems to be happening around Hogwarts lately which makes even this magcial life kind of dull.
I hope you'll respond to my message and find some enterainment in this for the both of us.

Dear Random Sender,

Your owl is quite a nice screamer or is it screecher? He was making enough sound for me to notice the letter. Even the storm makes less noice; I hope you do not mind me giving him another letter as well as a small piece of meat meant for my own Snowy Owl that I nicknamed Archie.

I am as bored as you are, I dislike stormy weather. It makes me feel small and alone so your owl was a nice visitor even though my ears throb because of him. I am not sure if I have seen you before; as I am used to be a bit on the shy side. Although I tend to approach people if I get lost because of those moving stairs.

Maybe we can make a game out of this? Like I see I see... that way me might be able to guess each other's identity.

Dear random reciever,

I should have known that my owl (he's called Sil btw) would pick out someone who had an owl theirselve or would at least be friendly to owls. He's a very chatty screech owl which you apparently already noticed. Especially if you give him food. He might even start to bother you when he has no letter for you because you gave him food once. Good luck!
Judging from what you said you're probably a first year or a second year who really sucks at finding their way around Hogwarts. Most people figure out how to get around before the end of their first year so I sure hope that will be the case for you as well.
That's a quite interesting way to spend some time, I already guessed your age (or you really really suck at finding your way) so this time it's my turn to give you a hint.
Here is my hint: Even though I am known, few know me.

Dear Random Sender,

It is a nice owl, and quite a fine one at that. I do not mind him or any other owl to say 'Hi' as long as they are friendly and that he is. I guess I have to put up with his nice screeches! Besides if my own owl didn't like him; he would probably try to shoo him away. Archie is as social as yours, but less talkative.
Are there still second years that are able to get lost because of those stairs? I am slowly getting the hang of it, at the very least I always know how to get to my Common Room. Which is a start right! That sounds great, I can not wait until I won't get lost in strange corridors. Whichever Witch made those stairs was a smart one. For anyone that is not at home at Hogwarts will be lost.
It is, but to say the very least, you are quite an interesting Witch or Wizard to randomly send an owl. You're known but very few really know you. Which means that you are probably one of the Quidditch Captains or Head Girl/Boy. I do guess the first thing however for it seems more logical.
I will give you a second hint, I may or may not have thrown a cake in the face of one of the teachers when one of my house mates got a cake that was a bit too sweet...

Yes there are some second years who keep getting lost. But those are usually the ones who'd get lost in their own common room. Aka the ones who will get lost anywhere no matter what. Yeah tit's quite clever but there probably are some other ways to do so, ways to get through anyway and ways that make things easier for the students.
I'm wondering why you'd guess that I'd be a quidditch captain? Since Ravenclaw currently has no captain and the other three houses have female ones so you're guessing I must be female then. Besides, I wonder why you think that I would be known in that way? There are many other ways one can be known at this school.
I have not heard of any story like that so that hint will not help me much. I'm afraid I am going to have you tell me the entire story once we're done with this game. It is my turn to give another hint. Before I came to Hogwarts I was an orphan who got adopted.

That are some people that have no inner compas whatsoever. That sounds quite difficult to live with. I have not yet found any other ways; what I did find out was that one of those stairs is easily stepped upon his figurative toes.
Since Head Boys and Girls tend to be really careful and a bit more serious. Which you might not be by sending a letter to a total stranger. Quidditch is a sport that is for the daring; which you probably are. So you must be a female from Hufflepuff, Gryffindor or Slytherin.
Because you seem like a student to me.
I am sorry, maybe this hint will help. I love the kitchen.
I might tell you that story, it was quite an experience. I can assure you that. I have not heard about or known any orphans, that got adopted.

Dear random reciever,

Since you're a first year you probably haven't really experienced Head Boys and Girls all that much. I think you might be confusing them with the Perfects? What you just said is true for those, however not all Head Boys and Girls are perfects. Some are far from being one and by no means all that careful. Who knows maybe I'm male after all, or a teacher that's just so done with checking all those tests.
Of course I am not going to give you easy hints if you won't give those to me either. There are many who love the kitchen though, good food is important to many. You keep giving me all those hints I cannot do much with so I will continue to do the same. I've been here for quite a while, although compared to some it is not long at all.

That might be it however that being said it remains a responsible position and you are by no means acting super responsible. Who knows, however since when does a teacher make the time to play games with a student?
Who said I was going to give you easy hints? There are many that love food, indeed. I look forward to reading that hint of yours. That means that you are not a seventh year or have teachers that are teaching here longer.
This is my hint for you: when approached the wrong way I moght fight for those I love; though I am remarkably peaceful.
