Euphoria

This sudden lecture was not what he had expected. He felt vulnerable, as if Adrian could see right through him. Any person with a bit of respect would leave the matter be. But this boy, this one did not care. It could be true he was offering help, but in a way it would not help Oskar. Harsh words that confronted him with himself only made him feel more sad. So he did what he did best. Distancing himself from the source of his hurt. Walking away before that sadness turned into panic, or worse. It turned out that even that was impossible.

The words echoed through the now empty common room, and left him unable to move. Oskar stared at the other in disbelief once he was standing in front of him. Humans never failed to betray him. If he had let him walk away, he would’ve gone in peace. But dear Adrian had decided not to let him go. Instead, another lecture was forced upon him. One that, again, did not make a good impression on him. He was basically saying he was a coward. Who was he to judge? He had no clue of what he had been through. Sadness was the only feeling that was constant in his life. And he felt weirdly secured by it.

But now he could feel a slight anger boiling beneath his skin. When he regained control over his muscles, he reached for his own wand, but once he saw the Slytherin was gathering his stuff, he stopped. ”Be glad I don’t attack people when they have their back turned towards me”, He growled, after which he made his way further towards the dorms. Instead of making a friend today, he had found an enemy.
