Re: Common ground
The kitchen had looked like a flour-bomb had exploded in the middle of the room. There had been white powder everywhere, including on the two boys, who had been covered head-to-toe. The air had been thick and hard to breathe, which had been annoying because the both of them couldn’t stop laughing. It was just a surreal scene. Too bad they hadn’t even been able to finish the cookies. No, they had spent most of the night cleaning up, first the kitchen itself and later on themselves.
The rumours of white footsteps in the hallways had kept the other students busy for weeks after. Each time they’d had thrown each other a meaningful look. Good times. ”Fine, I’ll add you to the list”, He replied with a smirk. ”But we have to have cookies though. Very important on a Christmas dinner”, He then added. He could go out and buy them though. That lowered the risk on a flour-catastrophe significantly.

It was nothing less than a miracle that no one had ever found their out about their disasterous kitchen adventure. They had managed to get the kitchen clean before anyone could notice but the white footprints in the hallways were a different story. All those rumors they caused because of that. ”Fine, I’ll add you to the list”, Fred answered with a smirk on his face. Good, because he didn't want to experience that weird flour shower again. ”But we have to have cookies though. Very important on a Christmas dinner”, the young man added. Lev have a slight nod. Christmas hadn't really been a thing for him as it was for the others. "Then let's buy them at a bakery. Safety first this time," Lev grinned. If they went to buy them beforehand they could probably eat some warm cookies and they could both pick the flavor so they had something they both liked. "Is it going to be 'fancy dinner' or 'let's try to make something ourselves'?" Lev continued to ask.

It was both funny and sad how he had forgotten about that story, until Lev had brought it up again. Time went by so fast, and he felt like his memory from ten years ago was seriously lacking. He wanted to remember them, all of it, so badly though. His life now looked very differently. Not that he would actually want to go back in time to relive them, but he couldn’t help to feel a little nostalgic now he recalled that adventure.
If it was up to Lev though, there would be no adventure 2.0. ”Safety first indeed, especially because now it would be my kitchen”, He chuckled. He knew Humphry wouldn’t particularly like to be covered in flour either. ”Good question. How about we go out for dinner on Christmas eve, roam around London for a bit before, and then we just chill and hang out on Christmas day? I wouldn’t mind fixing some brunch”, He suggested. Then they could sleep in as long as they wanted and have some quality time in his house as well. Best of both worlds, if you’d ask him.
